Gateshead Carers

Their focus is on empowering carers to be stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life, claiming their rights, realising their potential, achieving their goals, staying healthy mentally, physically and financially. They focus on the strengths and talents you have and how these can help you achieve your goals and the life you want.

Carers Trust Tyne and Wear

Carers Trust TTW believe that young carers should have a life of their own alongside their caring role. Being a young carer shouldn't prevent children and young people from having time to themselves, making friends, being happy and healthy or having the same opportunities as their peers.

Their staff understand the lives that young carers and their families lead and treat our service users with respect and compassion. They provide a range of services that address the issues that young carers tell them are important, including breaks, social opportunities, emotional support and programmes to promote health and wellbeing.
